A make-ahead breakfast that layers creamy oats with a quick IQF strawberry compote, ready to grab from the fridge.

  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup, divided
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk or plant milk
  • ½ cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  1. In a small saucepan, warm strawberries with half the maple syrup over medium heat for 5-6 minutes until softened into a chunky compote. Let cool.
  2. In a bowl or jar, stir together oats, milk, yogurt, vanilla, and remaining maple syrup.
  3. Layer the oat mixture with the strawberry compote in two jars.
  4. Cover and refrigerate overnight, or at least 4 hours.
  5. Stir before eating, warm or cold.
