Frozen acai, also called acai pulp or puree, is the fruit of the açaí palm pulped with water to separate it from its large seed, then frozen right away. Açaí spoils within a day of harvest, so almost all of it is sold frozen. It is the base for acai bowls, smoothies and sorbets.
Pure acai pulp has no meaningful caffeine. Some blended acai products add guarana, which does contain caffeine, so check the ingredient list on the spec sheet of the format you buy.
Our frozen acai keeps for 24 months at -18°C (0°F) or below. Keep it sealed and avoid thawing and refreezing, which affects texture and color.
